The Importance of Reading Books. Dedicated to David O. Oyedepo

The Importance of Reading Books in Our Life.

There are book and there are books.

Those who read nothing achieve nothing.

If you want to be great you have to read books.

Sam Adeyemi is a Great reader. He read books to know more and gain more information’s.

My fellow Dream Builders books are great asset to our success in life. We don’t have to spend much of our life on book but books.

Book is important in our academic. The purpose is to read and pass. We cram and we download. Then we obtain degree.

But books on the other hand improve us in a spiritual manner. It improves our intelligence and philosophy of reasoning. It is a means of improving our way of life. We gain insight of who we are, what we shall become in future and how to spend much of our life.

Book contains little information and little information causes dullness and little exposure. Book tell you to struggle to be great, but books tell you to think to be great. Success is made easy through books by thinking positively.

A great reader is a great leader. If you want to be a reader, you have to read what the leaders are reading. Also, if you want to be a manager, you have to read what the managers are reading. Example of books on Management are:

·         Life and death in the executive first lane

·         The road ahead by Bill Gates

·         In search of excellence by Tom Peter and Waterman and many more

Books on leadership include:

·         From zero to hero by Brian Tracy

·         Ideas rule the world by Sam Adeyemi

Sam Adeyemi once said:

What create growth in you is what you eat. If you want to grow to the size of an elephant you have to eat what an elephant is eating “what he says is clear thus: that you take things that would stretch your mind; brings out the winners in you; and keep growing unlimited.

In the system that we are, reading books become very challenging. Creating time to do so is very difficult. Because we always have a short time do so out of the busy schedule. Our books are there for us to read. They posses stress to us. We have exam to write. We have to hustle to eat.

Dream builders, books are success guide to living. For how long are we going to postpone reading positive books that would benefit us in our career, in life and in business?

There is this quote a friend of mine by the name Robert Olorunsola shared with me almost every time in the past and which Kunle Popoola also like sharing. It goes thus:

You would remain the same person that you are today except for the books you read, the people you walk with and the tape you listen to” that sounds great and vibe.

The importance of investing in all these books are important and precious. If you are 17 years old you should have 17 books on growth and leadership.

Books are also our scripture. The Bible is an inspirational book. In it you would find healing. Salvation and peace of mind that excel all thought. Waking up in the morning we should try and read some of it verses. It will make your day.

We need to chose daily. The media is full of news that are negative. The newspaper does not always share success news. Research has shown that what we perceived when we wake up surely make our day. So, pick up the good thought, the good news, the good books and you will see changes.
